openSUSE Linux 12.1:

Make it
Long Term Support (LTS) .

The Evergreen project is already attempting to provide extended support, beyond the 18 months for an openSUSE release.
May be the requester truly wants rolling release, like Tumbleweed or using Debian style distro upgrade with zypper dup?
I am against LTS, because IMO resources are better used improving quality of experience in new releases, rather than competing with commercial distro's who have greater revenue stream to provide such labour.

I agree with Robert, resources should instead be dedicated to the current and next version, and not waste time and resources supporting legacy versions, which would be better spent making the current version stable and the next version better. For those who would need long term support on a given release, Project Evergreen should do nicely for them, and a LTS release is unneeded, and 18 months of support is enough, in my opinion.

Don't forget there already is a LTS version of SUSE - SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop and Server!

This is a policy, not a product feature - thus rejecting.
