Description

RAL-CGM [1] is a program to interpret Computer Graphics Metafiles. It can:
* Translate them to a different encoding (Binary, Character or Clear Text)
* Display CGM's on screen using X-Windows
* Send CGM's to a printer or plotter (PostScript or HPGL)
It runs on Unix machines (X11 needed for display).

User benefit:

It is a subsidiary component to ImageMagick.

CGM was once popular I guess (Paint Shop Pro had support for it), but who is realistically using such a format these days?
