Make openSUSE 11.4 12.0

Feature state

Rejected Information

Since going from SUSE 9 to 10, going to the next major version happened after xx.3. openSUSE 11.4 will come after 11.3, so it should follow this pattern. If this became permanent, then with the release cycle one could always predict what release and when.

Please see the entire discussion on -project ML: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/2010-07/msg00033.html

To be short : The actual versionning scheme (based on the life cycle of SLE - not directly related to a x.3 -> y.0 versionning scheme) is probabyl going to changeĀ  to a more convenient system in the future.

Your argument fails in two ways.

1. There is no real pattern, but just coolo's mind ;-)

2. There was a 6.4 at one time. By that pattern, we have to have a .4 every this-or-so-many years.
