Bootloader cleanup idea

Feature state

openSUSE Distribution
Done

Description

I have a feature request for openSUSE's bootloader. Currently if a user
installs a new Linux kernel, the bootloader displays multiple installations
like this:

openSUSE 11.2 -2.6.31 etc etc (default)
Failsafe openSUSE 11.2 -2.6.3 etc etc (default)
Desktop openSUSE 11.2 -2.6.31 etc etc
Failsafe openSUSE 11.2 -2.6.3 etc etc (desktop)

A lot of beginners won't even know what this is or which one to choose.

You should only display one "openSUSE 11.2" and hide the other options with a
"see more" button that users can push Enter on to make them visible.

I like this idea, but is it available upstream?

If and when we move to grub2, is it a feature?
