Replace qtcurve-gtk2 with Oxygen look-alike in KDE setups

Feature state

Rejected Information

With the release of openSUSE 11.2, KDE-integration of a few important apps (most notably Firefox) has progressed a great deal, including fitting icon themes and dialogs. The default GTK style is still Curve though, which isn't quite consistent with the Oxygen widget style.

This can be easily remedied with the
"Oxygen-Molecule" GTK style and it would be nice to see this or something to that effect in future versions of the distribution.

I agree, although for me it would be enough to have a version of Oxygen-Molecule in the KDE repositories.

Itn't it more preferable to fix the theme engine wrapper? Currently it's buggy with a few GTK apps like Firefox.

I would love to have the theme wrapper fixed. I like how gtk applications looks more consistent with KDE (I like it a lot), but it sucks to have buggy input fields (most notable in Eclipse). This really needs to be fixed and an update sent.

Please note that the qtcurve-gtk2 bug was fixed upstream, but no update has been delivered. Please see
Bug #556124 for details.

AFAIK the updated package lives in Gnome::Factory.

Oxygen-molecule is indeed a step into the right direction. But still if fails if you set a different color scheme. Also Firefox doesn't look quite right. Instead, I suggest to use gtk-oxygen-engine, which solves these issues (mostly). We already package it for openSUSE:Factory and should just set it in kcmgtk.

Done for 11.4 using oxygen-gtk.
