It will be great use wicd like a network manager in opensuse 11.3

I have not been able to get NM working in ANY version of KDE 4 on a r60e.  WICD however works first time.  I would agree, for a number of reasons, that I do not think that NM should be the default for openSUSE, but mainly because - it simply doesn't work for me, and many other people.  KDE is up to a 4.4 release, and still NM is crippled.  I endorse the idea of using WICD as default.

wicd is quite broken really, and any way, the problem is NOT network manager (that perfectly works), but the "applet" developed by kde4 guys.

from my side, i ALWAYS switch to gnome applet (nm-applet) even on kde and it works like a charm

In most cases, it was not possible for me, to administrate a running WLAN connection with network Manager

when I have to use closed drivers with ndiswrapper.

The WLAN handling there is anti-intuitive....!!!

wicd has a much better way for handling WLAN connections !

Insert wicd into the opensuse repository, that it can be installed by YAST!
