make GRUB text to speech option visible

Feature state

openSUSE Distribution
Rejected Information

Description

GRUB, at least the one on DVD, is able to speak the selections. This can be enabled by pressing the F9 key in GRUB.

This feature is not shown in the menu, it would be great to have it visible inside GRUB so people get to know this feature.

We really need to work on improving our accessibility features!

Actually, the title is misleading: we use syslinux, and this is still supported.

OTOH, Tumbleweed and SLES12-SP3 do have the screen reader option visible in the boot menu. So this might classify as 'done'.
