Live-CD: Start of Installer Without Desktop

Description

It should be possible to start the Live-CD installer directly from boot menu on low-memory systems without having to load a complete desktop.

Looks like an interesting idea (and this solution looks really simple), anyway, will there be any benefit compared to classic installation, especially regarding memory requirements?
